Meh

I wanted to blog about some other stuff, but now don't feel like it.

We got news today that the basic tools of my JOB and several other people's jobs as well are being taken away because of some perceived it violation.  The situation has been known for years and now it's being treated like no one knew about it or approved it.

I am a program analyst.  I cannot do my job without direct access to the program tables.  NOT just stupid canned reports.  Now we are being told supposedly IT only should have access and to request them to run our queries/reports.   I've been known as the query queen.  It's literally my job to query the system.

My boss is getting together with the boss of IT and also who is acting as the division chief tomorrow to see if this can be sorted out.
