Tulips and Weeds Oh my!

Well... the bird thing didn't completely work out as the only birds that felt comfortable coming up to the feeder were sparrows.   So I set up my video camera and gardened on the other side of the house for about 45 minutes or so.   I've looked at it briefly.  It looks like the birds are either deliberately or accidentally scattering most of the birdseed on the ground.  Then they fly down to eat it there.   - Morning

I'm currently trying to dig up a row of tulips.  I thought I had dug them up last year.  They didn't bloom last year and I didn't like where they were.   This year I got a bunch in the same place... this time they bloomed.  Well I still don't want them there so I'm digging up as many bulbs as possible.  I'll replant some of them in the fall elsewhere - the rest I'll give away. I also fed my pine tree, moved a few Russian sages that were growing in the wrong place, and weeded some.  - Mid afternoon

Well it started thundering.  So I'm outside and can hear someone mowing their lawn or similar while I'm digging up plants and thinking - boy we are just a bunch of idiots.   Oh well.   It did start raining a little bit but nothing much yet.

I'm inside now eating a PB+J sandwich for "dinner"  (It's 5:30pm)  I most likely will have something else later as well.  Trying to sort through pictures.

Ok got a little more yard work done.  I managed to get rid of the two large weeds growing in the midst of my strawberries.  I always get a thrill when I manage to get one of those suckers out.  I don't know the name of them but last year I had a few that ended up 4' in diameter!  They are hideous with a ginormous tap root (and no this isn't a dandelion).

I think I'll take a bath and goof around on the internet for a bit and call it a night.
