Welcome to my other world.

I had a long vivid dream last night somewhere between 3am and 5am.   I wrote down notes this morning so I could complete it later.   I was thinking of creating a separate dream blog, and may in the future.  If so I’ll copy or move this there.   

In real life one of my cats (Onyx) had just moved up from my legs to chest area and plastered herself there with her head right under my chin.   I was on my left side with my left arm under the pillow next to me.   My other female cat, Missy was on that pillow – so I was effectively trapped by two happy, purring kitties.   I put my right arm over Onyx (who didn’t mind)  cradling her, and this is what I dreamt:

I was playing with onyx – she rolled on her back like cats do and I noticed small area without fur on the underside of her jaw – this was similar to something that I noticed when I first got her (in real life).  At the time it was just a sore – my dream self took it way different.   --  In the dream, I  looked closer and saw more areas -  and I saw what  looked like teeth coming up through fur… this went around her jaw on both sides and down her throat.

At some point woke up briefly realized it was a dream and I didn’t have to pay a big vet bill in real life to deal with it.

Back to the dream - Took her to vet.  At vet’s was carrying her snuggled to my chest (mirroring real life)   Vet said she had seen the problem before and there was a non-surgical treatment – also that it wasn’t as serious as it looked and could wait on treatment if needed.  I asked how much, but the vet had to do some test.   I recall following her and she picked up a bag of something to weigh. 

At this point I noticed I was in a large vet office -  like an office building rooms connected endlessly to rooms – all filled with people with other dogs and cats.  Because of this Onyx started to get restless and I wished she was in a carrier.    While trying to find my vet at some point Onyx disappeared and I ended up holding black garter snake instead (female).

I Recall at one point the garter was curled under shirt next to chest -  Onyx in real life was still in that position and my mind was most likely picking up on the pressure and translating it into something in my dreams.

Later I was constantly trying to make sure the snake didn’t escape my grasp because I would have lost her. 

I passed a bench that had my coat on it, the area by this time was more mall like.   My coat buzzed and someone said I got a “tweet”    (Note in real life I am NOT on twitter. ).  The buzzing was like that of a phone on vibrate but the “tweet” appeared on my mp3 player.     I don’t recall what it said but it was from someone I didn’t know.    

There were two med size bearded dragons attracted to the buzzing of my mp3 player  and were under coat (I could see tails).  I  picked up coat… both were near white… one with faint markings on back the other with a bit more and darker markings.   I remarked to owner who had come to grab them that they were pretty but I wished that they (breeders) would concentrate on going the other way (darker instead of lighter)  because I was looking for a black bearded dragon (true in RL).

In the meantime I had somehow picked up another snake… same size/makeup but yellow who I noticed was rubbing against and twining around the one I had.   (basic courtship)   I noticed both of them had eyes half closed (not possible in real life)  and was thinking that there WAS some times that happened…  

Quick real life note.  On Sunday I had watched with my anime group an anime that features people who are cursed to turn into a (Chinese) zodiac sign when hugged by a member of the oppocite sex (who wasn’t another zodiac person) or when they were weak.   They introduced the character who represented the snake in the zodiac.   When he got too cold he would turn into his snake form.  They found him half asleep under some clothing (in snake form)  and he was drawn with closed eyes.  I remarked to the group that that wasn’t possible in real life as snakes cannot shut their eyes.   So this is what made its way into my dream.

So in the dream I was thinking of telling my anime people I was wrong, and this caused one of the hosts to show up.  (The anime group is hosted by a married couple).    I don’t recall the conversion though but I don’t think he was listening to me.   He did make a suggestive comment about the snakes though and I realized that they had gone from courtship to out right mating, tails twined.    They were like that rest of dream.

Spent forever wondering around different areas with lots of people with these snakes never finding Onyx or my vet.   Wondered into a area that was supposed to be the office of the closer – but I’ve never seen that show in real life and don’t really know what it’s about.   So I THINK my dream was going off of what I saw of the finder .  One of my co-workers- also named Sharon  was there at desk with box sorting stuff and I asked about the main character in the show – wondered if he ever showed up at office – she said good luck in finding him and I replied I was really looking for my vet and was just curious about person.  

Then an assistant of “the closer/finder” pulled up in car… named Chris. – He looked like Santa in normal clothing.   (This would have come from me reading an article in real life about people who portray Santa-just two days or so ago.)    The dream was fading at that time.   But I do recall speaking to one woman who didn’t know what the snakes were doing.  She mentioned them peeing on me… but they were releasing musk  (they do that when mating sometimes… or at least I had a pair in real life that did however there was way more liquid in the dream)    I was just explaining it to her when my alarm went off and I woke up. 

As far as the rest of the day - work was crazy, just a bunch of month end problems needed to be solved.  I'm tired now.  Wonder what I'll dream about tonight?
