I STILL hate wind.

You might remember that I hate wind.

Well - last Thursday when I was leaving for work I noticed what appeared to be a few shingles on the left side of my house were up.   Either that or something had blown on top of the roof.

So I called my insurance agent.  I talked to his assisted and she gave me the name and number of a roofer. (rather use one they recommend then one of those - walk up your drive way guys )  Anyway he came out Friday.   I talked to him Friday afternoon.   He found several shingles just toast and quite a bit of wind damage.  I figure from all year.   I have T-lock shingles - they don't make them anymore.  And apparently "they" aren't allowed to even repair/replace using them (I said I had a stack in the garage. )

So he recommended filing a claim sigh.   I did that today.  Now I have to wait for the claim adjuster.

However the roof guy (J) practically can read my mind.  Several times he's called and requested what I was thinking.

For example, I don't think I can meet the claim adjuster (I don't want to take off work - I don't have the time)  but I wanted him to.  I didn't say that though.  He just called later and asked if my insurance agent (the assistant was sick so I got to really talk to my agent)  had called.   He had.  So J asked me a few questions.  One of them was "can you do me a favor and call me when you set up a time for the claim adjuster to come out - I want to be there"    I was like "BINGO" .   lol.   He also wants to look up in the attic to check the "deck" (guess that must be the wooden structure the roof sits on)  He noticed some dry rot and wanted to make sure to include *everything* in the estimate for the claim.   This is exactly what I wanted him to do (though I didn't know it required him to look into the attic. )

Weather wise it's been very warm lately - we had I think the driest March on record.   Now that it's April - it's going to snow.  lol.

Of course my tree is blooming.   I don't think its going to get cold enough to put anything in danger.

We shall see.

Signing off.
