3 miles

Here I am again.  Trying to get used to blogging.

I don't apparently have many readers.  Which makes sense as this is still new.   I had several things I wanted to put here, but as per normal I let time slip away from me.  Maybe I'll chronicle my kitties antics later.

I may have mentioned I joined a contest at my gym.  I have no hope of winning as I'm not really much overweight... but I do want to tone up and lose some % body fat so I'm hoping this will help motivate me.

Earlier this week I participated in a "boot camp" by one of the trainers at the gym.  It lasted about an hour and was basically circuit training.  

Today I went in for the first weigh in (we did a start weigh in 2 weeks ago).  I believe I weighed 122 then and I weigh 122 now.   I bought a new scale that goes by the .2 lb increments.  I mainly did so to better weigh my cats but it's also interesting to note differences in my own weight.  I'm 120.6 in my underwear in the morning for example.  Clothing adds at least a pound.

Anyway I did  1 hour on the treadmill.  I wasn't going for an aerobic work out... just trying for stamina.  So my heart rate was lower but I lasted longer.  I did a fast paced walk and did 3 miles in an hour.  (was walking between 2.5 and 3.5  with the 2.5 being warm up and cool down.).

Now I'm going to do some chores while listening to heavy metal as a motivator.
