Seeds

Just checked seeds.  Now have one squash plant and some collards coming up.  :) (happy dance).   I did mention yesterday that my lettuce was coming up right?

I just put four cups of new bird food in the bird feeder - it looks a little different then the brand I got at wal-mart.   But it has the same stuff.   It's mostly the white balls instead of more mixed.

Whew.  Just planted some of my xeroscape plants.   I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new deep waterer.  Not only can I use it as a deep waterier - but I can use it to help me loosen soil and pull up weeds!   I got a bunch of grass out in an area I didn't want.  I got a big bush with pink flowers that is all over the place - the plant spreads but I only want it to line my walk way- I got that out and replaced it with one of my other plants.   I also planted the two plants that the lady at Paulinos said was ok to leave in standing water!  I put one directly in the sump pump drainage "pond"  and the other along the side.   One will be in standing water just about all the time (I have a bunch of rocks over the water - it's poking out between rocks right now)  and the other will be in mud.  So we shall see.  :)     I had pulled some milk weed seeds last year and was thinking of planting some of those as well.    I know - I'm weird... there are several weeds I like.  I love dandylions, and I DO like "vine weed"  the one with the perfect quarter size circle white flowers (sometimes purple.).  But I DON'T like them climbing my snaps.   They are everywhere I don't want them to be!  *pout*   maybe I'll buy a trellious - put it up against a fence in an area where nothing is growing and try to transplant some of the weeds there....

Oh and the milk weed?   Monarchs lay their eggs on them.  And I've always loved the flowers.

Saw a few birds at the feeder but I scared them off.  I'll see if I can film/photo activity tomorrow.

Right now I'm going to chill a bit and maybe start sorting my pictures from my vacation.  :)
