Today my petsitter came over. This is the first time in my new house. I have a dual purpose for her being
here. The first, I am going on vacation
later this year. So I needed her to
know the layout and what I expect her to do.
I like her because she has the exact same pets I do… down to the
reptiles and spiders (well she only has one spider currently) so she has NO PROBLEM dealing with all my
babies. :D. (big grin).
The other reason why I invited her over was to help Onyx and
Jay get used to humans again. At the
end, after she greeted my two older cats and I was filling out new paperwork,
Onyx came out. She sniffed “J”’s bag but
wouldn’t quite let J pet her. That’s
ok at least she came out…. Jay stayed under the bed. :( She will come back on Sunday for more “human
therapy”.
In the meantime I went ahead and registered them for the
show, and have been asking a million questions of one of the people who helped
me out when I went to the February show.
She is the entry clerk for this upcoming one. :).
I was going to have an electrician over because I am having a problem with one of my kitchen light switches. When I tried to change the can lights on the ceiling out using a device from home depot that grips the bulb - I pulled the socket down instead of the light. The others worked fine so I don't think that socket was in there right. When I had my handyman put it back (and change the light ) and then tried it - the lights cracked and dimmed. And I can hear crackling behind the switch. So I am not using that switch. I use a local electrician, and the down side of that is he tends to be swamped with work. His wife does the scheduling and she tried to get an assistant (Journeyman electrician.) to come out today - but he had something else going on and wasn't able to make it. Found out about it at 5. I thought 7:30 was kind of late anyway.
We have tentatively re-scheduled for Saturday - but that hasn't been confirmed yet.
