Whitewashed Tombs

Lately in the news there has been a stink about Susan B Komen's breast cancer charity deciding not to give money anymore to Planned Parenthood (ha).   I didn't even know they GAVE money to PP!

So tonight I'm watching the news and the news says that SB is reversing their position.  At least a little bit.   They will still fund existing grants and will allow PP to apply for future grants.   Then there was a bunch of quotes from women - I recall two democrat representatives, talking about women's power.

Man if I knew that was going to happen I'd be calling SB for support on the other side!

For one, if a charity (or business) decides to stop giving money to another charity it's THEIR BUSINESS.  They shouldn't be forced to!    Even if it was a charity that I supported that SB decided not to give money to anymore - I wouldn't be mad at them - it's THEIR CHOICE!

Then the news mentioned that there is an investigation on how PP is using funds.   They said that PP is supposed to use funds only for "women's health" and not to fund abortions.

DON'T PEOPLE UNDERSTAND HOW MONEY AND BUDGETING WORK!?

I mean really are people THAT STUPID?  (Ok I know I probably just called people who will read this stupid.  that's ok I've done dumb things too. - this is just frustrating to me.)

Ok example using my own budget.   I know I get at least X a month.   Now I MUST allocate Y to my mortgage before say putting extra money aside to save for a telescope.  (Of course my budget like most is more intricate then this but you get the idea.)  

Someone gives me a monetary gift.  But they tell me - you MUST use this for your mortgage.   I'm not struggling... I have plenty to cover the mortgage and will every month.   So... now I have a surplus of money in my mortgage fund.   This person just took care of my mortgage for this month.  I know I will get more money for next month's mortgage.   So what do I do?  I use their money for the mortgage... but I move my money that I put in there to my save for telescope fund.

It doesn't matter if grants are only supposed to go to women's health.   PP - should (like everyone else)  have a minimum amount that they put in each budgetary item field to meet expected needs.   If they get money from a source to fill the amount they will need in women's health... then this frees up other money (maybe from people who donated in general)  TO FUND ABORTIONS.

Do you know what Planned Parenthood is?     It's a WHITEWASHED TOMB.

I get this from the bible verse:  Matthew 23:27 : “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean."

Here Jesus is talking about the Pharisees - being lawful in appearance but not so when the eyes of the public aren't on them.  They look clean, but in God's eyes they are not.

"Women's Health"  is PPs  "Whitewash"    I have heard people who are totally against abortion (like I am if you can't tell.   Read my first post if you haven't already)  talk about how they are ok with PP because at least they do some good.  They might even give money!    But people don't see that PP is blinding them to the bones of forgotten children in their tomb.

Don't give money to a whitewashed tomb.   Find a pro-life place that does similar work instead.
