Meh. I have a bunch
of things going through my head I’d like to talk about – but I have a cold and
don’t feel good.
So I’ll give the run down.
Dave Logan – a guy I listen to on 850koa here in Colorado was fired recently from one of his jobs: head
couch at Mullen High School . At first the school said he was fired
because they wanted someone more full time at the school and Dave was doing to
many things. But now, after many protests from angry parents and students
that called for the firing of the CEO/President of Mullen – who I understand
was recently (about a year ago?) hired –
the school has changed their story. Now
they are saying he was fired for recruiting violations. But the CHSAA (not sure what that stands for
and don’t feel like looking it up right now)
said that Dave Logan wasn’t on the complaint. So I don’t know if the media or the school
mis-spoke. Either way they changed their
story.
Hint to anyone who fires someone and has to make a public
statement about it. Be totally up front
from the get go or no one will believe you!
To me it seems like the school and the CEO changed their story to defend
themselves against the backlash of the firing.
Anyway I originally had more to say… but the story is a
moving target – stuff keeps changing.
And I don’t feel well enough to check out the details.
Next subject: the
wind. MAN I HATE WIND. Well ok… if it’s a blizzard that’s kinda
cool to watch… and I’ve always wanted to go storm chasing (with a pro!) to
check out a tornado… but wind just for wind’s sake with no other weather. Ick ick.
I had heard that there was going to be at least one more day
of high winds. My mom said no. I should have called her and said “I told ya
so”. I woke up at 3:30 am to the wind
just howling!. I left my gravity
lounger outside… forgot. Wind folded it
up- again. It should be ok but I hate
forgetting it. (It’s outside furniture
but really shouldn’t be out in the wind).
So I’m sitting here now alternating between slowly putting
away the Christmas stuff I have piled in “the great room” (attachment on the
house). I’m re-orinizing the stuff… I
bought a new bin and have three bins now.
And I’m playing a few games.
Vetting cats on http://purefelinity.com
it’s a cat breeding and showing game.
It’s simple and complex at the same time. It’s simple in that there isn’t moving
parts. Just static pictures of the cats
(if you have a star account or buy a cat from someone who does) no real “action” . But the genetics! It’s based on real genetics, and though it’s
dumbed down (because some of the color traits aren’t set in stone in real
life) it’s still complicated. But that can be fun. They added eye colors – I have charts on the
genetics of this eye color x that eye color could = these eye colors etc. And they recently made the body traits (head
shape, body size etc) more complex… though if your not ready for that you can
choose the simpler system.
Then I’m playing an old dos/older windows game called “Empire” your one of three people (I’m playing against
two computer opponents) out to conquer a
planet. It’s pretty simple too… just
little ship and plane and army icons. You
build stuff move them around, capture cities etc.
And.. lastly I’m writing this up in word. But I think I’m done now so I’ll sign off
and copy/paste this into a new blog post.
Tomorrow is Saturday
yeah!
