Ok, here we go. First real post. (you may see some "test" posts on here.) I haven't decided yet how much I want to put in "about me" sections vs telling you in this (the first) post -- so there may be overlap.
I admit I started this on a bit of a whim. I tried blogging before but didn't like what was offered with my hosting service at the time. (May be changing hosting services in the future- but that's another subject).
Anyway - I have this habit... I talk to myself and respond to stuff said on the radio etc... I hear something on the radio and I turn it down and rant about it to myself. In doing this, I tend to come up with insights I didn't have before on the subject - kinda like thinking out loud. But I'm too chicken to really talk/discuss/argue about these kind of things to others... o I've been thinking on and off - I should be blogging this.
Or I'll hear a good message and I want to pass it on but forget. So I saw what Google was doing and thought I'd try blogging again.
First I should let you know I am a Christian. So some of what I may say on here may be offensive to non-Christians -- and heck maybe even to some Christians. I am a very opionionated person. I admit -- I am uncertain at this time exactly what I will and will not put on here. Part of me really IS chicken about the reaction. I do NOT like debate. If I can't prove my point to you, then it's pointless for me to debate it. Most of the time, especially on religious issues -- when you have two (or more) people "debating" what it really is - is each person attempting to convince the other that they are right.
This is fine if I'm arguing with (for example) a programmer (on my job) about a problem with the program that I can point to and go SEE! and SHOW them what I'm talking about to convince them of the error. But you can't do that with "opinion" Even opinion that you believe is true. Many people use the same bible verses differently and are equally convinced of the truth as they see it. This makes the whole debate a big waste of time. (IMHO)
I also want to use this as a kind of a Journal. More me writing down my thoughts and less response to other people. So I currently have the comments set to " Registered User - includes OpenID " which I think means if your a google user OR if you have this "openID" thing I've never heard of. I MAY change this to "anyone" if my friends can't comment - but if I get spammed I'll close it back down. I also have posts moderated.
This is longer then I meant it to be - and I typed the bulk up in word days ago. So I think I'll do a couple current stats on me and end this post.

I just adapted two kittens not long ago so I have 4 cats:
Sir Orange Flufftail (Orange) a long hair orange and white bicolor at 13 yrs
Missy Softpaw a shorthair mackerel tabby at 9 yrs
Jacinth (it's a stone - I call him Jay)-orange classic tabby shorthair and Onyx (female)- pure black shorthair both 9 months.
I also have a ball python (female, spider morph) - who is not quite a year old,
a bearded dragon - Mordox who is 10. various garter snakes and as of this posting a collection of 59 tarantulas of over 20 different spices. :D
